We are proud to welcome the latest addition to Annabella Kennels. Bandit come to us from Dave Walker kennels in Idaho. Bandit is a direct son of the late DC Chick’s Blaze’N Sawtooth Sam, JH who was by NFC Beans Blaze HOF. This is very well bred young brittany puppy who we hope to groom into a dual champion and foundation stud dog. He has been a joy so far and is loving his birds. He had a natural retrieve to hand the first time out and is very intense on birds. We hope to campaign Bandit in both field trials, AKC hunt tests as well as show competitions. He has the pedigree and the makings of greatness.
Only 4 weeks after whelping her first litter of puppies I thought Sadie could use a day in the field. We have some bobwhite quail recall pens at the training grounds and it is a blast to let a dozen quail out for these experienced adults. Buster and Sadie didn’t take long to locate the small covey and pin them down in thick cover. Both of these parents of our last litter are proven hunting dogs with great noses. They both retrieve to hand and are great around my kids. If you want to know what your puppies are going to turn out like, there is no better indicator than meeting the parents. You get a great snapshot of what to expect in size, temperment, color, obedience, handling, hunting instincts, etc… If you are considering buying a bird dog puppy, I highly recommend taking the time to meet the parents.

We were waiting to see if this litter took before announcing it. She was so small I did not believe that the puppies were in there. Last night we were thrilled to find 4 healthy puppies in Sadies dog den. 3 females and 1 male puppy were whelped on September 2nd, 2011. Two of them are liver and white and while the other two are orange white, still waiting to see if any will be roan colored. Two of the puppies were whelped with natural bobbed tails which we have not seen before in our kennels.
This is an exceptional stud dog that we have bred to with great success. View Luke’s Pedigree.

This is our new dog named “Sue”. Her official AKC registered name is TJ’s White Shadow and her old call name was Scout. We are having her trained this summer with Ben Garcia at Hideaway Kennels. This is the first pic we have of her sporting her new haircut. She got shaved down from her winter coat for her summer of fun chasing birds. We are so excited to have her come home in September when Ben Garcia come to teach at our gun dog training seminar.
We went to the vet the other day and tried to get a head count, but it is very hard to see just how many puppies are in there. The vet says he can see at least 5 or 6 little bodies wiggling around in there. We are excited for Annie’s litter to be born and can’t wait to see the little puppies grow and develop. We have a couple deposits on puppies but will take a few more. Picks will be in the order they are received. Click the paypal link to place your $100 deposit.
Our classy female hunting dog Annie has been bred to Buster and we expect an excellent litter of brittany puppies around October 17th. Puppies will be ready to go to their new homes around christmas time. This should be an excellent litter of hunting brittanies with a natural retrieve, strong point and good nature. Annie has a great nose has hunted wild valley quail, chukar partridge and blue grouse here in Utah. She also spends a lot of the winter chasing pheasants as a guide dog at the Rooster Valley Pheasant Preserve.
We are expecting both colors from this litter. White and Liver as well as white and orange brittany puppies. Since this is Annie’s first litter we are not sure how many puppies to expect. The litter will be whelped indoors at our kennel facilities in Annabella, UT and will be well socialized by my 6 small children. We love the brittany dogs for their calm nature and trainability. See our breeding plan to learn more about the heritable qualities that we are breeding for.
West Mountain Buster is a new addition to our kennels this year. He is from the well-know Dave Walker brittany lines and is a fine hunting dog. We like his temperment and his easy going nature. We are looking forward to chasing some birds with him as the pheasant, chukar and quail seasons open up here in Utah. His sire is FC Ricoche-T and his dam is Sweet Dreams.
