We were waiting to see if this litter took before announcing it. She was so small I did not believe that the puppies were in there. Last night we were thrilled to find 4 healthy puppies in Sadies dog den. 3 females and 1 male puppy were whelped on September 2nd, 2011. Two of them are liver and white and while the other two are orange white, still waiting to see if any will be roan colored. Two of the puppies were whelped with natural bobbed tails which we have not seen before in our kennels.
How much are the puppies?
I have been cruising the internet, looking at pics of Brittanies for some time now and must say that yours are the most beautiful on the web. Its been years since I’ve had a Brittaney, and have missed the experience greatly. Our Britt was a liver and white male, and was actually a birthday gift to my daughter from her godparents. Jack was THE BEST hunter and really watched over the kids, the cat and our ailing old golden retriever when we were out in the yard. Every child show know the joy of a dog like Jack. Out in the field, he was all business and we never had a problem with him running off….he pointed, flushed and retrieved like a champ! He was NEVER distracted by other critters while hunting and we never had a problem with him going after chickens or other domestic birds. Unfortunately, he was dog-napped from our yard…..a family member saw it happen but wasn’t able to get the plate of the vehicle…talk about shock and devastation! Up until that point, I never knew that people would actually do such a thing! Talk about naive! It has been a long time since I have had the heart to consider getting another Brittany. Though I am currently in college and unable to devote the proper amount of time to a dog, I am preparing for the day when I will be able to bring another Britt into my home. That day can’t come soon enough.
Brittanies are my favorite breed of dog for hunting and companionship and make the best all-around family dogs, in my opinion. Congratulations on the newest litter….I’m sure they will grow to be wonderful dogs. 🙂
